The early pre-film James Bond gets compared to looking like Hoagy Carmichael in at least one book. Has always stuck in my mind.

Other than that Stark Reality did a good lp of songs he wrote for children.
Nice jazzy funky stuff with the odd sound of an electric glockenspiel as lead instrument and the guitar of John Abercrombie.

Jah Wobble - Take me to God, Rising above Bedlam and Passage to Hades (w/ Evan Parker). All of them worthy of listens

Paul Weller - Stanley Road

Waterboys - S/T

Ryley Walker - Golden Sings that have been Sung. Hmm, have now listened to both his albums and wouldn't describe myself a fan. He's on the Sea change festival billing in Totnes that I am going to, but I'm not sure that I will be seeking him out now.

Donny Mccaslin - Beyond Now - him and his band that were responsible for last Bowie album. Reasonable album too (with a couple of Bowie covers thrown in)
Fans of Darkstar should probably seek it out.

Kefaya - Radio International. I can tell you 2 things about this. 1) It is still in my Spotify Albums list having listened to it and not deleted it. 2) Memory a bit fuzzy but I think it was quite exotic jazz type of fayre.

A long day of work at home today, soundtracked by the last three Grails albums (following their London gig last night). All I think are magnificent:

Grails - Deep Politics
Grails - Black Tar Prophecies Vols 4-6
Grails - Chalice Hymnal

Still have the wonderful ambient landscape words/music of the Kleefstra brothers on heavy rotation:

Kleefstra-Bakker-Kleefstra - Dize
Piiptsjilling - Moarntid. Piiptsjilling includes Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek).

Six Organs of Admittance - Burning the Threshold. Lovely.

Gave Slomo's Tranists another spin - still sounding great!

And a bit of a Cope retrospective: Rome, Citizen Cained and Psychedelic Revolution.
