Reckon the 20 Mothers version of Land Of Fear stands up to the Sunspots EP original.

Julian has previous for it. Kilimanjaro featured new versions of the old Zoo 45's. An he went back to Books again in the 80's. The Bunnymen, of course, also had another stab at it.

Far, FAR prefer the stripped-down early versions of all those Teardrops songs to the casio-Love remakes. Whenever he performs a song like Sleeping Gas now to me it sounds much more like the 70s versions.

Sonic Youth doing some odd covers, which I don't think have been mentioned yet!

Ciccone Youth - Addicted To Love - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7TuWdHNsYY

Ciccone Youth - Into The Groovey - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azmC-g4eiC4

This is a cracker though. Different band indeed!

Big Black (Seattle 1987). The Model - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg1RODPaTug

Ha! Wonder if he and Lol Coxhill ever recorded together. Wouldn't mind hearing the outcome if they had. Up the oddbods!
