That's interesting because, as far as I recall, the biggest criticism of his solo career for a long, long time was that he lacked any "quality-control", that all his albums were flawed and contained at least a couple of duff tracks.
"My next book will be a trilogy for Faber & Faber. In the meantime, I have a new band called Dope, whose debut releases will soon be oozing out into the public domain. The music is a sort of dark groove-based thing, monotonous mainly and highly drug informed."
I wonder if the short time collaborating with Weatherall has had an influence?
