Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs & Barrett
Roger Waters & Ron Geesin - Music From The Body (arguably more Geesin's baby than Waters')
Nick Mason's Fictitious Sports (humorous Carla Bley songs sung by Robert Wyatt - a gem!)

Not too bothered about the rest of the Floydian solo oeuvre, myself, though I can't claim to be familiar with all of it.

The Other Two - not solo exactly, but two members of New Order. Some great tracks on both albums (although not perfect)

Various members of Wire recorded albums under a variety of monikers, although manly while Wire have been on hold. Some great stuff there - Dome were a particular highlight, as were A.C. Marias.

Alan Wilder's Recoil (while he was still a member of Depeche Mode) also produced some crackers.

Members of Tuxedomoon have made decent solo albums, including:
Blaine Reininger - Broken Fingers
Steven Brown - Music For Solo Piano
Winston Tong - Like The Others
Peter Principle - Conjunction

Jez Kerr - Numb Mouth East Waste. Great solo effort by A Certain Ratio bassist/singer

Ah yes sir! I like my bass players. Have had a life time crush on the reprobate JJ Burnel I'm afraid.

You beat me to the first two. Two smashing albums, especially Fish Rising. Actually, that's made me think - did any of the solo Daevid Allen albums come out while he was with Gong?

Good albums indeed, but I'm not sure they strictly qualify for inclusion on this thread as Syd was already out of Pink Floyd by the time he recorded them.

Okay, I failed to read the initial post properly (not that I'm the only one) - pleased to see the Dukes Of Stratosphear albums mentioned in any case - currently available in remastered format, with sundry bonus tracks, and going beyond mere psych pastiche into truly ethereal and sublime musickal hemisphears. Throw away your copies of 'Chips From The Chocolate Fireball' and get the expandeds - you won't be disappointed. 'Pale And Precious' is the ultimate 'SMiLE' outtake that isn't!
