Indeed they were. It was a 10.30pm start (as part of the jazz festival) so I assumed it was going to be a one set show but no they did two full pieces with an interval so it went on till after midnight! The lighting was great too (something I wouldn't normally notice!) which really added to the atmosphere. Both pieces were marvelous - the second edging it, felt quite 'heavy' in the middle. Picked up the live cd set afterwards - they hung around to sign stuff. Left the SAGE at 12.30ish - Gateshead more continental than London, whatever next!
