Dunno about Whammy, but I preferred Wild Planet. Is spk the band that began as Surgical Penis Klinik?

I've only recently discovered Kevin Ayers - since he died really - and adore Joy of a Toy. Town Feeling is an amazing song.

To each his/her own but Whammy came out when I was in High School so I have very fond memories attached to it,Spk changed the meaning with every album before Graham Revell turned it into a new wave disco band.

I was going to choose Meddle! Mwng is a great choice too - wouldn't have thought of it, but really agree!
