Apparently the eBay bandits (if I'm not being biased) are already queueing outside Sound It Out in Stockton. So much for any hopes of landing Kip Of The Serenes (500 copies worldwide) on my part for much less than an original would cost. Watch that - and anything else half desirable - magically appear on eBay tomorrow for five times its price.
I repeat: I fucking HATE Record Store Day.
If indie shops could introduce some sort of loyalty point scheme for those of us that shopped in them all year round, I might've stood a chance of getting a record I really wanted. As it stands, it's a profiteering farce for people with no interest in music. I applaud RSD's benefits for record shops; I abhor everything else about it.
