I've just recorded a piece in memory of him, just a spontaneous thing. Will try to post it somewhere.

That is very sad news :-( big influence on multi keyboardists. Will have to listen to some of their music and raise a glass to him.

To me TD are/were an archetypical head - indeed Head Heritage - band. A cornerstone's been pulled out. Just like that.

Side note: why does Eno get all the credit for creating ambient music, when
Froese clearly had it nailed with Zeit in 72.

Sad News. Of all the Kosmische and ambient pioneers I found the Tangs easiest to digest, yet there was a depth to their music that kept me coming back time and time, finding something new and previously unheard to enjoy everytime I tuned in.

Wherever you are Mr Foese, Keep on twiddling those knobs, here's hoping you have you have truley entered the Kosmische, and long may you reside there.
