Old Vinyl Bootlegs
Sep 21, 2014, 20:36
There uses to be a record shop in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Many moons ago, where they took regular deliveries of vinyl bootleg albums. Mostly sneaky recordings done at classic gigs by Bowie, Hendrix, Pink Floyd et al.

As an impoverished student, I couldn't really afford any for myself, but did purchase a few on behalf of mates, back home in Warwickshire. I usually ran off a cassette copy, before delivering them, of course! Deep Purple's 'On The Wings of A Russian Fox Bat', being one such title - and I seem to recall getting a Bowie one, if memory serves called ' The Wembley Wizard'.

I did bag one for myself, though - and still have it: Led Zeppelin - 'Mudslide'

I also acquired possibly the only Marc Bolan one: 'Son Of Magical, Pouting Panache', back in the early 80s.

Anybody else own any naughty vinyl?
