I can't access your images at the moment, but I can confirm that a 1970 King Crimson poster for 'Cat Food' single does exist as Island were pushing hoping that it would be a big hit.

Indeed it does...I saw one years ago on eBay, and it only went for about US $50 - $70, as I recall, but it's flyer size, and essentially, the same as the "Cat Food" picture sleeve...with the retail information below.

Here is a picture of an HMV London shop window from Summer '69...in the lower middle, there appears to be a shop poster for ITCOTCK (the band shot):

I have Island posters for Roxt's FOR YOUR PLEASURE, all four 'vocal''rock' Eno records...and Roxy's SIREN (UK)...

A promo poster for "In The Court Of The Crimson King" would be the dog's bollocks. I'd consider sascrificing a limb for that poster in the HMV shop.

I do have the US Atlantic shop poster for RED, but that's fairly common. It's cool, but really just a straight 24" x 24" blow-up of the album cover...the one pictured at that HMV is a nifty shot of the first (and IMHO) greatest version of the band...

It would be lovely. Doesn't have to be the true original. Just that big moonface on a quality poster would do me, something tasteful and true to the original theme. It would have an assured home in the den.

I'm not in the same league as you guys when it comes to rare prog/psych promotional material, but I do have this:

I'm very proud.

Those are fairly easy to come by over eBay, cheaply. Many people have printed high-quality blow-ups of that image on A4 and larger.

I had about 5 copies of the double-sided promo poster for the reissue that I passed out to friends (I worked for the distributor WEA/ADA at the time)...

Excellent Title "Barry And The Sleeve". Totally appropriate. I remember buying that album and it was all to do with the sleeve (plus that was the band that Greg Lake came from, being a serious ELP boy in my youth). Brilliant artwork. Brilliant record. INTENSE with an incredible dynamic range - awesome. You know there are loads of live Crimson recordings from their first tour. Generally low quality, but special things - things like Hyde Park.

I tell you what I'd be mad keen for - a decent reproduction/poster/photo of VDGG live with Jaxon making two saxes scream at the same time and Hammill screaming his heart out. That would be utter class...and you're a big VDGG fan, so you'd be the man to ask.
