The only thing that I heard that I'd bare to mention is (don't laugh!) Insane Clown Posse(!) I know I disparaged them here in the past but a younger noise musician from a small town was telling me about them recently and lent me his copy of the Great Milenko. So I have to say that, yes, this group can be quite hokey and over-the-top cartoonish, but their approach to sound-design is high art. Not knowing much about hip-hop, I'd say this album is definitely psychedelic and no doubt they must have heard Sgt. Pepper at least once... ICP has been cited for violent content in the past, although also some complain about their apparently covertly "Christian" message (although on this album they do mock TV preachers), but I definitely see why they appeal to alienated small-town kids. Only God can judge the Juggaloos!
