No, seriously.

Is that an AK47 in your pocket? I thought you were just(really) pleased to see me!

Ha Ha Ha!

Sorry, I came over all Glenda Slagg there for a moment.

I'm sure she won't mind Ian. All this talk of guns can do that to a chap.

"Rudolf Rocker. Crazy name. Crazy guy."

Absolutely. Every year that bloody song blasting out in the Supermarket aisles. You know, I quite liked it at first, compared to Jona Lewie.

Aha! I think I see what you're getting at now, and I rather like that. It puts me in mind of (you'll hate this) Fripp's "small mobile intelligent units".

Not at all its a bloody good analogy in lots of ways. The one advantage we have over the state and its strata is that we can adapt, react and redeploy a hell of a lot faster than it can.

Cheers Stray, given me food for thought on this.

That's horrible. I hope you get it sorted quickly. I've got an impacted wisdom tooth and when it decides to 'play up' it's like the nerve in my jaw is the Andreas Fault being drilled into by Malcolm McDowell with a Kango. At least he doesn't have an AK47, I suppose.

The shrapnel from my fillings doesn't bare contemplating.

ne thing that occured to me re Vive La Suicide....

I'm slightly surprised there is no evidence of Cope having read Black Panther Huey P Newtons great autobiography, Revolutionary Suicide. It actually really fits with the theme of the album, and makes plan what I think Cope ius trying to express. For Newton, suicide is usually a 'reactionary suicide' - black men (in particular) killing themselves out of despair. What the world needs, says Newton, is revolutionary suicide - you put yourself on the line, knowing that eventually you will be killed, but that in doing so you are challenging that world and making it better.

It also fits in that Newton explicitly quotes Che Guevara in it, as an inspiration. Being a revolutionary mans loving all of humanity, whilst having to give up on the love of specific individuals. You must learn to conquer fear of death to live a life without fear, one where you can genuinely choose how to live.

"Think about what you would die for, and work your way back from there, and then you'll know what you should do with your life."

Huey Newton. Lovely guy. Misogynist who murdered a prostitute and was 'proud' of his cop killing, justified by circumstances or not. He was an arsehole.
