Cult of Dom Keller - EP1, EP2, EP3
Fantastic doomy fuzzed-out psychedelia. Splendid. As is...

Cathode Ray Eyes - There are sounds in your head that need to get out
http://thecathoderayeyes.bandcamp.com/album/there-are-sounds-in-your-head-that-need-to-get-out

Have a listen, go on!

Alan Hull - Pipedream
Having dismissed this when I got it last year, I gave it another listen and really got into it.

Earthling Society - Sci Fi HiFi
Bibilic Blood - Blood Butterfly
Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler
King Crimson - A Beginners Guide to the Projekcts

Half Man Half Biscuit - 90 Bisodol (Crimond)
The first couple of plays I found this a bit meh, but I listened to it on headphones the other day and it suddenly clicked. Bloody hilarious, but great choons too.

Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow
Similarly, meh at first but growing on me rapidly.

Kogumaza - S/T
Fantastic dense guitar sound, love this record.

Sun Araw - Beach Head
Having heard the fabulous track previewed from the collab with The Congos which appeared in The Quietus, I revisited this for the first time in a while. Lovely druggy dubby sounds, a dose of summer. Here's The Quietus link:
http://thequietus.com/articles/07724-listen-sun-araw-congos-gengras-collaboration

Gnod - Chaudelande Vol 1
This is something else. So raw, so powerful, you just have to grin like a loon.

Various - Keep Off The Grass
The marvellous Fruits de Mers label pull out all the stops and take off into the stratosphere.

Teeth of the Sea - Hypnoticon
Another revisit. Unusual sound this lot, very good.

Porter Ricks - Biokinetics
Having broken my CD of this years ago pulling it out of its stupid metal case, I've been wanting another copy for yonks. Little did I think I'd get it on double vinyl. Clear vinyl too! And it sounds AMAZING too. Unbelievable heard-through-a-fog techno.

It's been a good week for sounds :-)

Tunes!

Les Rhythmes Digitales - Dark Dancer

Talvin Singh Presents - Anokha; The Sound of the Asian Underground. Finally got it on CD after years of cassette abuse. Some lovely music on this which I think was briefly fashionable for five mins last century. I did follow some of the artists - Talvin, State of Bengal etc - for a bit but the 'scene' if it was one, seemed to dissipate as soon as it made Late Review status. Top tunes though!

Acid Mothers Temple - The Ripper at the Heaven's Gates of Dark. Lovely!

Voice of the Seven Woods - S/T. I like (and a top serendiptous sniff too!)

Justice - Audio Video Disco. I'm not sure any new album will make me laugh like a crazed gibbon licker is such a rapturous way for quite a while. Sublime and ridiculous. (Actually KISS have a newie on the way).

Kate Bush - 50 Words for Snow. I cry at Snowflake. There, I've said it. "Keep fallin', I'll find you..." AGH! . It gets said a lot but...magical. 'Cos it is.

Jethro Tull - Stormwatch/ Minstral in the Gallery/ Broadsword & the Beast. Rock the cod!

TesseracT - One. Mental! In a good way!

Messhugah - Catch Thirty Three. Godfathers of CHUGCHUGGASKREEEBLATGRANGPLARp! Top stuff.

Bach - The Brandenberg Concertos (1-3). I was in a bit of a fuge state. 8^|

PJ Harvey - Let England Shake. This is just brilliant.

Isley Brothers - 3+3. PhOnkeh!

The Smiths - The Queen is Dead. That box set is looking quite sexy from here.

The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow. Espesh as my vinyl of this is skipping a lot these days.

The Orb and Dave...sorry, DAVID, Gilmour - Metallic Spheres. Hadn't played this in a while. Really like it!

That was mostly it I think,

Have a nice week citizens. x

You reminded me, I've listened to quite a lot of Tull this week - Broadsword and Passion Play mostly.
