It's a cracking album. It makes me think of Mars Volta only with actual emotion and feeling and decent songs instead of muso wankery. It rocks in places, but it is also pastoral, jazzy, and gorgeous.


I think Opeth mine their proggery from a more classic vein than Mars Volta (whom I really, really like BTW), who seem to graft prog onto something of an art-punk vs Latin rock hyrbrid.
