Asva - Presences of Absences. Had this one on order for a while and finally arrived. Only a couple of listens so far but suspect this will figure highly in my end of year lists

Have a great week all.

Oooh! I've got "What You Don't Know is Frontier"* which I like a lot. Does this tread a similar path?

*a 50p sniff as it happens. Huzzah!

Hi Moonie. If you like Frontier, I'm sure you'll go for this. Three long tracks and a 7 min stripling. Like Frontier, the drones unfold slowly but this time are mostly carried by the organ. The sound palette is a lot wider - organs, trumpets, flugelhorn and vocals weave throughout. (Arvo Part and Josef Albers' colour theories are claimed as influences!). Overall it sounds much more composed than Frontier. Have had another spin tonight and personally think its a huge leap forward and a bit of a stunner!
