Redbus Noface - #1 If It Fights The Hammer It Will Fight The Knife
Cardiac Mark Cawthra's solo record. It would take a long while to describe the whole record as every track has its own universe but the first song is pre "Lamb" Genesis (think "Twilight Alehouse") played by the "Discipline" Crimson line up who have just listened to a Men Without Hats album and got "Script" era Fish guesting. It's going to be fighting it out with Kate Bush for my album of the year.

The Black Ships - The Kurofune EP (thanks Mooncat for the steer on this one)

Jard van Nes, Klaus Tennstedt, London Philharmonic Choir, London Philharmonic Orchestra & Yvonne Kenny - Mahler 2

Fugazi - Steady Diet of Nothing

Laura Nyro & LaBelle - Gonna Take A Miracle

Roland Kirk - Prepare Thyself to Deal With a Miracle

The Straight Horn Of Steve Lacy

Derek Bailey - Ballads

Van Morrison - It's Too Late To Stop Now

The Residents - Eskimo

Steve Earle - Townes

Greetings..

Brand X - Livestock
Carlos Santana & Alice Coltrane - Illuminations
Miles Davis - In a Silent Way
Miles Davies - Get Up With It

Wolfmother - S/T
Chimaira - The Age of Hell. (Free with Metal Hammer. Enjoyable but not essential modern metal-core stuff. Blows the cobwebs away anyhoo)

Akcercocke - Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone
Evile - Infected Nations
Opeth - Still Life
Ulver - Blood Inside
Anaal Nathrahk - Eschaton
Skindred - Union Black
Uriah Heep - Into the Wild

The Black Ships - Kurofune EP. Nick McCabe and another bloke from The Verve's new thing. Two lengthy tracks of semi-progular, mostly instrumental ambinoodle and sonic cathedrals type stuff. If you have a hankering for Gravity Grave style early Verve before Richard Ashcroft decided he'd rather be Noel Gallagher, you might like this. I like it a lot meself. Bodes well for an album. Oh, and it's a free download. Huzzah!

Have a nice week

It's been said many times before on here (and by me on several occasions) but I still think this is one of the greatest psychedelic albums of all time.

And the gatefold LP - gorgeous! Plus it reminds me of my tripping days... :)

A stone-cold classic imo.
