Julian Why have you commissioned this?

I thought you claimed to be a foward thinking MOFO, and had no intrest in revisiting the teardrp era.

Since you are in favor of this release which is claerly aimed atr the fans, since who the else is going to buy it, why did'nt you turn up to pick up your award

No; you'll still need the 2001 remasters of both albums, for the associated b-sides:

And the last three tracks from Piano seem not to be on that second disc of the new Kilimanjaro.

Aren't those ones tracks 9-13 on disc two? And the last three tracks from Piano are from the Lake Placid comp, so maybe those will show up on a possible Wilder reissue.

Yep, I didn't spot those b-sides, but the Lake Placid tracks from Piano really are missing.

Has Julian definitely supported this or is this a case of Cally Callomon fudging the 'endorsement'. Julian answered a question relating to a 'compliled by Julian Cope' sticker on a previous Teardrops comp and it seems the situation is that Cally sends him a proposal with a tracklist etc asking for patronage and then takes Julian's lack of a response to be a 'yes I endorse this release'. Could be a similar situation here.

I think there is no doubt Julian endorsed this release-

"Sleeve notes by JULIAN COPE, Dave Balfe and long time press officer Mick Houghton give a great insight into the making of the album. With new booklet artwork from long time collaborator HOLY MCGRAIL"

>1. Normal band version, initially on the US release of Kilimanjaro, but also on the 'You Disappear From View' 7" single.

So this is still unavailable on CD, correct?

Save for those great, hypnotic early singles, Wilder's where JC's career really starts for me. Kilimanjaro's not a bad album, but those second-rate Forever Changes horns just get on my nerves these days. Same goes for Echo tracks like Happy Death Men- I think that's the one that inspired the Teardrops to use them, too. Thanks, Mac!

No, it's on the 2001 Wilder remaster.
