Beatallica!

Though you have to know & appreciate both The Beatles AND 80's Metallica in order to appreciate the depth of genius in the whole joke. Otherwise it probably seems like a desecration one direction or the other (depending on your preference.)

I liked their early internet-only download albums better than the official ones they've been releasing more recently, but their stage show has definitely improved. So see 'em live, they tour all over! (The Germans love them especially.)

Not trying to denigrate musicians of any kind (myself having failed to achieve even any grasp of ANY musical instrument)but I'm starting to think Pink Floyd stuff must be relatively easy to do. Seems to be enjoyable in anyone's hands (unlike fleetwood mac for instance, which I saw rendered somewhat charmless a while ago by Rumours).

I saw an Oasis lot called No-way-sis when I was travelling down under about 10-12 years back. They even had a vintage argument on stage, Liam stalked off, then predictably came back on after a while. Good fun whilst on a pissed night out.

We get a few of the tribute bands coming down to Southends Cliffs Pavilion, near where I live. Wouldn't mind checking out the Stones one someday as they always get a good write up.

Hayseed Dixie were entertaining live. They specialise in country and blue grass footstomping renditions of rock classics from bands like Motorhead, KISS, Queen and, obviously, AC/DC. Great musicians too regardless of the novelty value.
