Oh and speaking of FR David, I won a prize in this 'invent a slogan' comp at primary school.
Taking from that blimmin tune of his, I came up with 'Words do come easy with a dictionary'.
I had to explain my source etc.
They were impressed.

See I'm exactly the opposite with Jesse Winchester. He's an artist I've been meaning to listen to for 35 years or so and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like him.
So I'm looking forward to (thankfully) unforgetting him soon...

I think all 3 have been torrented on Dime over the last few weeks. so somebody must hold them in esteem. I did like The flock's song I Ran but maybe only cos I was 12 years old at the time.
Was also surprised to find The Fixx on somebody's playlist recently. Somebody i thought had reasonably good taste. Thought they were a band that only got anywhere in the US because of record label hype. Don't think they did anything in the Uk but were marketed as Uk New wave successfully.
