A great band and as people have said, ace live. Intense and inventive.

I thought the first Porno For Pyros album was ok - sort of Jane's lite - but the 2nd was really good.

Great band, but i must be in a minority as i saw them twice and was a bit let down both times, Nothing Shocking in Newcastle Riverside was full of power & fury but lacking in any light & shade ,saw Faith No More about the same time and was much more impressed.
Saw the Ritual tour at Newcastle Mayfair and it was pretty much the same, by then the Zep for the 90s thing was kicking in, and while they had power and the hammer of the gods they seemed lacking in mystery.Navarro & Farrell were daggers at each other that night so i don't know if they'd had a tiff.
Saw FNM again about the same time and they were brilliant, even though they were obviously at each others throats and loathed each other with a vengeance

btw that Perry Farrell solo CD, bag of shite, a damn good reason for banning ecstasy, imagine the Mission's Masque CD done really badly

Porno For Pyros-great rather they got back together, much better than Strays

I thought they sucked live too. Mind, I'm not overly keen on the records either. A handful of alright stuff and some really dreadful hippy metal.

Wish I'd seen FNM. They were always a band on the periphery of my liking at the time.

i've got a JA live recording that someone taped for me. they were absolutely superb weren't they? that tape was played and played and played and played until the tape was ten feet longer it was so stretched. i can remember hearing it and thinking that the poodle perm boys had better be afraid cos this sound wasn't from up north in seattle, it was there in their very midst waiting to strike...and it did and it was bloody. coulda left faster pussycat out of it though perry!!

can do no wrong ol' farrel, what's the latest gig he's got going? the last track is surely a missing doors song!!

More info on the box, looks like it will be a lot of live material as opposed to outtakes. DVD to be available also.
