Well yes I AM, naturally, but that's not what I said, I MISS it but I'm not MISS IT, if you see what I mean!

From: Redditch, Worcestershire (John Bonham, John Taylor, Kevin Turvey, Ruth England etc)

Living: Jacksonville, Florida (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Limp Bizkit).

Looking at that, I think Redditch has a better pedigree. But there's more sunshine in Jax. And the beaches are nicer than those down at the Arrow Valley lake.

I'd have Hastings any day - but then I'm from Hove.

I miss the sea SO much. It can get very windy down there, eh? Thing is that keeps the germs down; I never got colds and flu living on the coast. Since I've moved inland I've been constantly ill, coughing, snotty and sneezing.

Nice pubs and nice places to eat in Brighton, and when you start getting bored, nip along the coast to Hastings and you'll soon appreciate what you've got over there!

Yeah and if you get bored of Hastings you can nip over to Camber Sands which is ace IMO.One of the best beaches close to London and always a hit with my kids.I guess for a beach in Sussex which is close to a MA site you'd have to go to Birling Gap which is close to the Long Man of Wilmington.

Hastings old town is quite nice but it's always full of large groups of pissed middle aged men wandering down the street in loud hoardes, whatever the time of day, whatever the time of year. I like the Rockinore end of town too with the fishing huts. Yeah, could be worse but Brighton it ain't...

NOW you're talking! Birling Gap is gorgeous and I've enjoyed many a happy day walking in the vicinity of The Long Man - lovely part of the world!

I used to know someone from there and once visited the Camborne School of Mines for a rugby match (I think, all I remember was alcohol was involved in astonishing quantities...)

I love Cornwall but I think Derbyshire has got lots going for it too. YOu think Derby's bad; try Stoke On Trent...
