Ah! That's it - it was that in the UK we refer to bands as a collecive of individualks, so say 'they' whereas in the US a band is a single entity so they use 'is'....

Gonga were pretty awesome, I got home and order their album straight away. I just hope it lives up to Monday night's set.

Gonga are defiitely very good. Theyre a Bristol band and I've seen them a few times. JC excellent show though for me not quite as great as the Thekla Brain Donor show (with The Heads another Bristol band). JC looking great. I agree with everyone wish the set had been longer.
