Coming On Strong by Broken English, the video was like The Rolling Stones meets Thunderbirds. The song was actually quite electro-stonesy and was probabily better than anything Keef & Mick were doing around the time.

"Forever Young" is another Unsung track, although I hated Alphaville's New-Romatic-as-hippy-prog-rock look.

Was that a hit? I thought it was just one of those songs that got released every couple of months coz the record label were sure 'it's time had come'. (See also when Love Breaks down, although eventually that did chart.)

Feels Like Heaven by Fiction Factory, another synth-pop 80s one hit wonder.

Though not synth pop Soul Train by Swans Way (or is that Swanns Way?) is some more 80s one hit wonder cack but with big band pretensions and a whole orchestra instead of preset synths.

Yep, I remember that one. Also, from around the same time, was the much darker "Midnight At The Soul Train" by Swansway which I liked. Had a really creepy versh of "Gloomy Sunday" on the flipside too. Also, there was a hit from around 1983-84 called "Steamhammer Sam" which I liked at the time but never bought - anyone know who it was by? Speaking of 80s one-hit wonders who really were irredeemably shite, does anyone remember Wang Chung?

Ah, just mentioned that in my reply to yr earlier post, but hadn't read this one at the time. As I said above, I actually quite liked that record - it sounded a bit darker and more neurotic than most of the New Romantic stuff, almost heading towards Associates territory.

Anyway. Another 'decent' one hit wonder would be the Icicle Works' Love Is A Wonderful Colour.
