Yes, that has always been a bit of a head scratcher.
I do like to read the Telegraph comments section to get a flavour of what might be going on there.
You get something along the lines of 'I work and have never claimed tax credits/benefits in my life so sod you' and I think, deary me, can't you see how just by dint of circumstance *you* could be next in the firing line?
In fact QT woman you speak of is shining example of that.
EDIT: Of course she is in receipt of tax credits but all the same swallowing the 'we are on the side of hardworking people' should really now go down as well as a dose of revenge porn.
