Shame, that. I follow Plaid's doings and was pleased to see them involved in the TV debates. Speaking personally they had a clearer and more coherent anti-austerity message than either SNP (who nevertheless made a very good case for being in, or at least influencing, government) or the Greens (whose lack of any kind of economic plan was a bit off-putting).

If I had been in Wales, I probably would have voted for Plaid. As it was I voted LD in the optimistic hope - or realistic as it seemed at the time - that they might keep the Tory out here.

I voted Labour for exactly the same reason. Yeah Plaid do do their homework and Leanne Wood is certainly more approachable as a leader than sturgeon, who just seems to shout at everyone. They are a good left party and its a shame that they've not gotten further, but they do tend to put people off by focusing on Welsh cuture and language more than things that actually matter more to people.

I like Leanne, but it's pretty obvious that Nicola is fairly awesome. Look what happened!

I think she caught on to a popular vocal tide and rode it well. I don't like her at all, much prefer Leanne Wood

What we have done is changed people's thinking ..BIG TIME! I know I've said socialist, but what I really meant was socialstic. That has happened. The right in The Labour Party are pretty much doomed. I wouldn't vote for any of those fuckers now. We need to be left of centre now. And I suppose the SNP are like the old Labour Party. Working for the common woman and man!

Bravo!

And in no way The SNP can be equated to UKIP. Chalk and cheese.

I'd never equate SNP to ukip. I only voted Labour as they were the best chance of getting the tories out. I feel no shame whatsoever in doing that as I'm one of the people who've been affected by their policies. Yeah I agree, the right of Labour is pretty much going out the window, and about time too, the legacy of blair has been too long lingering on that party and people have good memories

Drew there is something I have never understood about the Scottish Greens.
Considering the UK is small enough as it is why wouldn't it serve their aims better to be part of the biggest pool possible?
Why seek breaking away (they did and do support separation) when likeminded people always can achieve more the bigger the amount of likeminded people get together?
The Greens consolidated as a UK force surely would work better, no?
The SNP's reasons for wanting separation are about a belief that Scotland somehow thinks differently (or something).
Though I struggle to understand what that means there is a certain purity in it.
Just never got the Green position myself though.

I agree with this only the SNP are working for the common woman and man in Scotland. I'm a common English woman who used to believe in Socialism big time, so how does the SNP help me. My experience of life today is I can't get an appointment at my local surgery without waiting three to four weeks, the streets of my town are full of litter and not all graffiti is artistic by any means. I couldn't vote for UKIP or the Tories and ever look at myself in the mirror again but if someone canvassed on cleaning up the streets I would certainly look at what was on offer. Sounds like small fry stuff but it is in fact about the quality of town/city life.

I think Leanne Wood is brilliant, never heard Nicola Sturgeon shout at anybody unless they deserved a good shouting at.
