I don't particularly see them as left wing, especially as they technically dumped us with 11 years of bloody thatcherism! Quite. This/my country does make me laugh. Europe is just at the point of consigning social democratic politics to the proverbial dustbin of history and suddenly people (especially in England) are getting excited by the SNP offering as if they just invented some new political standpoint. Sturgeon is a lib dem ideologically (if one of convenience for now) trying to carve out a fiefdom while concealed/wrapped in a regionalist flag.

I don't particularly see them as left wing, especially as they technically dumped us with 11 years of bloody thatcherism! Yes. Without their votes, Thatcher would not have made it. One vote in it, their 11 votes made the difference. Simple as. And as for all this 'we extend a hand of friendship to the UK' from Sturgeon what the fuck does that mean? We voted against separatism, yet she speaks as if she's Obama doing the rounds down Cuba or something. 'Scotland's Oil' they say. Well many a bloke broke his bollocks digging for coal in Wales, I can't remember much green eyed greed going down there. As far as I am concerned, if the proceeds from any of that goes to help some poor bugger in Edinburgh or Bolton or Cardiff or Belfast dying of cancer then fine by me. Not fine by them though. 'Scotland's Oil'. I am sick to my stomach at what is going on up here. Anyway, let's just hope the Tories are OUT!

For sure 'left wing' element is utter, contrived, crap. Dunno if you read the link I put up, but it illustrates how there is nothing 'redistributive' about their policies. Up here kids get free school meals from primary 1-3, regardless of wealth, and all the while school budgets are being slashed to the point that some schools are having to lessen their hours, totally messing up the plans of working parents not to mention delivering a poorer education for our kids, just so the regional manager of the RBS's 6 year old doesn't have to fork out £1.90 for their lunch. Or for his prescriptions mind, or pay any money to send his kid to university. All the while FE colleges that tend to take in poorer working class kids are being decimated to almost sod all to pay for it. It is imperative we do everything to boot out the Tories, and it looks as though votes up here may jeopardise that. And I'd feel sickened if it went that way. It would be disgraceful. I don't even know what they mean by the SNP 'representing Scotland' at Westminster. We send 59 of the gits regardless of the colour of their rosettes, but there they are playing the 'SNP=Scotland' card. My fellow Scots need to wake up!!

Well it's not Sotland's oil, it's the UK's oil, the same UK Scotland voted to remain a part of, they seem to forget that. It annoys me she's still bleating on about an independence vote, she was told before the referendum that that was a once in a generation thing, it's about time she accepted the decision. The majority of voters chose to remain as part of the UK. I live in Wales and although the mining here was something of a source of pride for many people and communities I don't recall it ever being classed as 'Welsh' coal. The mines were worked for the country, it was British Coal in name and essence. Roll on friday, hopefully we'll never have to hear from her or farage again soon!
