Yes, the NHS is being cynically sacrificed on the altar of ideology and greed by this toxic government.
The Tories have always despised the NHS because it represents something of a socialist 'victory' that people across the political spectrum have benefited from for generations. They have a scorched earth policy to such things, including the welfare state and one of the many unpalatable reasons for this is, by and large, they come from a strata of society that simply doesn't have to use such services and so see them simply as a waste of money. Money, that presumably, would be better spent turning London into a tax haven for the rich, or simply sliding into the pockets of MPS and their mates on the boards of Private Health 'care' companies.
They are horrible fuckers and must be destroyed.
I mainly agree with you, but there are some seriously poor places in London. The streets are not paved with gold. Private heath has already happened. Our average cost for a patient is about £100,000 per year, which is heavy on the taxpayer, but the consequenses may be more.
And my rent is just stratospherically mad!
