You hit the nail on the head with that geezer. Another problem is that the white farmers were very efficient at producing food (one reason they are much in demand in managed land schemes run by neighbouring countries now) whereas the squatters are producing nothing. It's one thing having a planned program to nationalise land and utilise it, quite another to do nothing when armed mobs simply occupy land by force and then do nothing at all with the land to the detriment of the entire country. Mugabe's just another incompetent dictator clinging on to power like Amin and all the rest now. Fuck him. Anyone who warns rural voters that they will be menaced by witches and goblins if the opposition gets in, or responds to criticism by a foreign leader by saying "he needs should go and attend to his gays" deserves nothing except the door hitting him up the arse on his way out IMO.

That enough of a rant for now?

My suggestion for this is to nationalise but offer the farmers 50% of the nationalised farm company if they continue to manage the land (in return for their expertise). Anyone whose socialist principles are offended by this should note that neighbouring countries are now offering free land to white farmers from Zim if they will come and teach their farming methods or manage additional communal land.
