More ID Card stuff

According to a report on Today, the government are emailing everyone that's used the No10 online petition opposed to ID cards. (This appears to be their planned usage of the petitions, focus on who they feel they need to pass their arguments on to. Nothing about actually listen to people's worries.) In among their reasoning, they've sneaked in the fact that they will be allowing the police to run fingerprints found at crime scenes through the database - despite all previous assurances to the contrary.
