I have a client who in person is fine to deal with. But his 'netiquette' demeanor is terrible. Whenever there's an issue with something I've done for him, he flames up in his emails and says stuff like "my patience is worn out! I don't care who's fault it is!' blah blah blah.
The disassociative effect of talking to someone you can't see or hear gives rise to the breakdown of politeness.
As for trolling, that's another case altogether. Trolls only joy in life is attacking people online (or dropping inflammatory, outrageous, offensive statements) with the intention of annoying people.
