Not quite, this grotesque media would have you believe that. There are some good things going on, and some form of democracy - albeit not the best. The thing is that the whole fucking lot would come apart at the seams if we just abandoned it now. There may little security now, but pull all the troops now and there will be incredible bloodshed. No, because of Tony/GWB we now have a 'duty of care' to the largest body of Iraqi's. Horrendous isn't it? What a mess we've created, but the other thing is that the area has become the focal point, gathering ground and compost for every fanatical nut-case that can get over there.
