Civilian deaths in Iraq since the coalition rolled in are now at 27,000 - 30,000.

Way to go Dubya!

How much longer before even you get embarrassed, Tony?

No. You need to have a sense of shame. For one of those you have to believe that it is possible that you can be in the wrong.

When Tony Blair drove into No.10 that marvelous day, I was one of the folk hanging off the railings cheering and welcoming him in! I just happened to be down there in London on business and with a colleague got our taxi to divert from our original destination. What a great day!! He was one of us! One of the people.

What the FUCK happened?

((dear iraq, welcome to "freedom and democracy!!" you can send your thank you notes to the bush administration.))

- Let's see. Tens of thousands of Iraqis have been killed and maimed during this occupation. 70% of the population is unemployed. Long gas lines are the rule of the day. Hospitals don't work. Electricity is intermittent. Potable water is hard to come by. Bombs go off every day, slaying civilians, police and soldiers indiscriminately. Iraqis disappear into torture chambers. Religious factions growl at each other like dogs in a fighting pit. Even the children throw rocks.

- U.S. casualties, of course, have been dwarfed by the damage done to the Iraqi people. Between 25,000 and 40,000 Iraqi civilians are dying each year - and multitudes are injured. We are wrecking the country's infrastructure.

.....and so on and so forth....

It takes time to get things into place. I wonder how many people would have died if we had not invaded and left saddam to his devices and how many of you would have be decrying the west for not doing anything to remove saddam?
