too late!
Nov 15, 2003, 21:23
"THEYstarted it, THEY started this "us" and "them" thing..."

Aghyaaa!

Plus ca change eh?

Let's keep out of feudalism by communicating effectively and putting the past behind us? Effective communication has always been a golden egg that politics couldn't lay. Why not? because never the twain would meet. Fertilisation is a marriage of ideas, of wisdom and humility, of strength and compassion.
Bash Bush et al effectively, but give yerself a day off to enjoy life dude! Believe me, I know. And don't forget to bash those Islamic fundies too. But most of all, light a candle, 'cos there's a whole world of blame and griping, but not many people so much as talking to their neighbour or taking a hot meal to a homeless guy or sharing a laugh wit someone who needs it most. It's the easiest thing in the world to place blame, yet the hardest thing to raise above the shit that you didn't personally make, and make something better without grumbling.

Onwards!!

I just can't think of ever even having to deal with these right-wing types. They're not pleasant or nice people -- they don't seem to be human to begin with. If they had any real noble intentions or true compassion... well I dunno. I don't think those types have any emotion besides being snide.

Oh OK, I misunderstood. Forget it.

I suppose I should avoid the news whatsoever, but I have to be informed anyways... Even so, it's STILL hard to avoid such right-wing human dirt. You still see scum in their SUVs with bumper stickers that say "Vote Democrat. It's better than working!"

I'm with morfe, I get annoyed more with left wing types these days. And especially eco vegan lifestyle nazis who claim to be closer to nature while denying the canines and omniverous stomachs that nature gave em *rant, seethe*. Fucking egos acting superior to nature..grr..argh! Kill em all! eat the fuckers.

Post modernism is evil and must die. The only way to kill it though is to pretend it isnt there. Try and fight it and the fucker will subsume you by categorising you. I know this from experience, the bastard gave me a little badge with a circumscribed capital 'A' to say 'aw bless, futile rebel, here, wear this, you can now identify with the rest of the irrelevant culture that tried to take me on. Oh, and don't forget to fulfill the clothing, hairstyle and body piercing requirements.' AAGASAHYCFEIEWFEWFIBSEFIBEWFIBWEF FUCK!!!! BASTARD!!! DIE you sick twisted proof of our decadenace, DIE, fuckin philosophical sophistry, fuck!

I am NOT an individual. I promise.

You do have a point... I don't think I really fit in with the people you talk of either... The Left or Anarchism can be as fascist as the right, I won't argue with that.

The left & the far left can be a depressing sight. I generally find the people with the best attitudes are those who are switched on but not really involved in active politics.

There is very little definition to anarchism some of them verge on reactionary Libertarian Capitalism or back to the land bollocks others are more Anarcho Communist.

Also with Green Anarchism there can be some cross over with far right ideas. I shit you not. When some refer to back to the land they mean back to your lands.

Yeah, lots of neo-nazi groups have had pro-environment and animal-rights platforms.

Hear hear, Stray & Mofre!

Aside from the problem of dividing the world into a silly "Coke vs. Pepsi" Left/Right continuum, the thing that drives me bonkers is simple partisanship. Like, let's not contemplate facts-on-the-ground and formulate policies and issues that are pragmatic and workable, let's just follow the chanting herd that wears OUR particular label -- democrat, conservative, anarchist, whatever that label is. Too often the labels themselves are defined as simply "anti-something", like "I hate democrats, therefore I'm a republican" or "I hate capitalism, therefore I'm a socialist."

And postmodernism -- yeah, shove the whole mess down a hole and let them deconstruct and discourse themselves to death. Instead of the old adage "nothing is true, everything is permitted" it's more like "nothing is true, so don't even bother."

I've always hated 'post-modern' art. No better than Minimalism or Post-Painterly abstraction. Art about nothing!
