Yes. Good bloke. Stopped digging. Slept in his car for 3 nights to guard it until the archaeologists arrived! But then, so he bloody should have, especially as he's going to get a massive ex gratia reward.

And how many other do that rather than crudely dig it all out straight away? Very very few. Here's a solution we proposed years ago ....
