IMO whether some scientists were misquoted is hardly the point. The main issue is geocentricism itself. For me, the guy that said "the earth is a very special place" let his cat right out of the bag. The Bible says it is, science increasingly says the exact opposite.

“Most folks think that they have done this rather well (though they have only covered what the layout of Stonehenge was probably for, not the inner stones) “
We don’t know what Stonehenge “was probably for “ although it is incredibly unlikely that the various features were dug /erected to describe the basics of geocentric thinking .

What is clear from the earliest mention of the film , to date , including clips and interviews with producers Sungenis and De Lano is that it is worse than nonsense and anyone knowingly connected with it with any integrity has spoken out against the content . Even the prehistoric understanding has a major error , De Lano suggests /believes obliquity is a constant when it obviously is a variable , although a minor point compared with the rest of the crap it could and should have been highlighted .

Just checked. Latest estimates are around 40,000,000,000 planets in the universe sitting in the "goldilocks zone" ie probably habitable. Some 30,000 of which are within 1,000 light years of earth.

Difficult to say without having seen the film. It hasn't been released yet. There's a lot of people who haven't seen the film who appear to be saying that the scientists involved were misquoted.

There's also a lot of people jumping on the anti-semite bandwagon saying that the producer is anti-semite. Yet the person who they say is an anti-semite is a different person from the producer. I imagine that this must annoy the producer a bit.

“There's a lot of people who haven't seen the film who appear to be saying that the scientists involved were misquoted .”

Being misquoted is not the problem , people like Krauss and Kaku are not quoted , the trailer suggests they have used stock footage of them .It is the association with the film , it’s content and the producers that is the problem .
We may not have seen the film but we know the background of the producers and the basic thrust , there was also an extensive revealing interview which you had linked to in January . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIqsVMQGoK0 .

“the person who they say is an anti-semite is a different person from the producer.”
The executive producer is Robert Sungenis , the only person who can’t see his anti -semitism is himself .Google that name and anti -semite is regularly associated with it and not without reason .

One wonders how a planet with significantly less mass than others in the solar system manages to hold them in all in orbit. But then - hooray - religion has the answer. Don't ask. It just does. What moronic bollocks.

Yes George, it is dreadful when people make sweeping generalisations about others based on the alleged views of one or more stereotypes. This sort of intolerance towards others leads to untrue assumptions presented as fact and automatic dismissal of anything they do.

One would not want to be one of these sort of people would one George?

Jon , you said that " the person who they say is an anti-semite is a different person from the producer."

Sungenis is an anti -semite and the executive producer . His fellow Catholics disown him for that very reason . His views are not alleged they are real , to the extent he removed many of his comments from the web and his web site .
See http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-report/browse-all-issues/2006/winter/the-dirty-dozen .
Even his wiki page mentions it ,not something always attributed to all anti semites .There are no untrue assumptions about his beliefs or sweeping generalisations and the source of the intolerance is clear . That is not all of course .http://www.geocentrismdebunked.org/some-background-on-the-new-geocentrists/#RobertSungenis .

This is a catholic blog which lists some of the anti-semitic content from Sungenis , all the links have been removed , by his own admission .

Scroll down for a sample .
