I'm not saying you couldn't build a 'better', or at least different, monument out of the bits (didn't you do just that using photoshop), but the question is surely whether anyone actually has?

Yup, that's what the thread is supposed to be about imo.
And i think it's more than likely someone has.

Can't quite recall.... Last I remember was no definitive evidence of a barrow but the stones had to come from somewhere? No doubt someone with a better memory will be along shortly.

Why are all but one of the stones just laid on the floor though? you're like a politician avoiding the question and i'm running behind repeating the question, have you though about a career in politics?
