Is this a record for about 3/4 of a day? 230 posts and still counting plus those deleted by the Eds...most of which were off on a tangent? :-)

... and not in a good way. Tangents are fine but "playground stuff" as my friend calls it isn't, and it's hardly fair that the Eds have to prune. I regret my part in it. I shall redouble my efforts not to end up playing any part in it. If anyone sees me taking a bait in future please shoot me.

Anyone else want to sign the pledge?!

I've loaded up Nigel and have a full box of cartridges on standbye :-)

Obviously, bait can come in many guises, as you've just demonstrated, Very Bright Buffer.

I promise too. Likewise if you see me biting, remind me.

OK.
"Dont feed the troll" is inflammatory in itself and often a bit unjust so maybe the reminder should be "Don't bite" or DB.... ? No-one would mind that I should imagine. I wouldn't mind if it was said about me.

As I haven't conspired to argue, don't need to take the pledge, but will..came across these words this morning on FB which has an aptness to such skirmishes - just hold your tongue ;)

When we convene again
to understand the world,
the first speaker will again
point silently out of the window
at the hillside in its season,
sunlit, under the snow,
and we will nod silently,
and silently stand and go.

Oh it's true all right. If I had to guess, I would have gone for yes to somebody of my generation having done the drug thing.

Did some of it a lot and some very little. I liked some a lot and (Thank God) some I disliked a lot.

Used to drink, so he was partly right, but it just got boring, sitting in pubs Talking the same conversation over and over again.

Been there done that, Yes, Truth.
