I would prefer silver, but perhaps you can't do the damascening pattern of the sky with silver, and thats why its been done in yellow and white gold. I don't know enough about metallurgy to tell though. The contrast colour with the silver when making the contrast colour would have to be what? -copper maybe? Didn't win the lottery again, so it's a moot point just now anyhow... tis the sigh. Ola Gorie of Orkney has a few megalithic jewellery items in their Heritage range for xmas, eg Kilmartin Style: http://www.olagoriejewellery.com/earrings/kilmartin-earrings-small-triangular-achnabreck.php Aurora of Orkney does a "Ring of Brodgar" silver ring: http://www.aurora-jewellery.co.uk/collections.asp?action=showCategory&catId=6&collection=Ring%20of%20Brodgar and a "Stonehenge" silver ring: http://www.aurora-jewellery.co.uk/collections.asp?action=showCategory&catId=60&collection=Stonehenge Sheila Fleet of Orkney does a standing stones collection, http://www.sheila-fleet.co.uk/StandingStones.asp as well as a heritage range I'm quietly lusting after.... http://www.sheila-fleet.co.uk/ItemResults.asp?code=BX3&Metal=Silver http://www.sheila-fleet.co.uk/ItemResults.asp?code=BX4&Metal=Silver

I like those, silver ear-rings are pretty much the only jewellery I wear. Good to see you back here Branwen, I've missed you. June

Was I away - was sure I posted something on a few threads - not that long ago. I'm easily confused though. LOL

Chance wrote: I don't know if you remember Ed, Will and Ginger, the intrepid travellers who walk the ancient trackways of the land and sing for their supper, but they got a mention on TMA and a favourable response from some of it's members' for their efforts. See www.awalkaroundbritain.com Anyway, I got an e-mail saying they have set up home in the Welsh woodland for a winter under canvas and their first CD has just been released. www.awalkaroundbritain.com/the-cd-album Might be a bit late for Christmas but worth a listen if you enjoy the old ways Saw this on another thread and found the download page following the link given, where there is a sample to listen to: http://www.pondlifestudios.com/detail.asp?id=105 Download only album, so still time to get it for xmas, especially if you can't bear the thought of hitting the crowded shops. http://www.newgrange.com/dorothy_fletcher.htm this stuff is gorgeous...
