Pies aside--although we hope to have a hot pie at the Red Lion--is there any interest in getting together apart from the Saturday picnic? We'll have a little car to tootle around in (as Americans aren't afraid to drive unconscionable distances); are booking a Stonehenge Private Access Visit for we two the evening of the 10th; will have the yard at our cottage by the river; would gladly stand lunch, dinner, drink for anyone willing to show us their favorite sites in the area. Any and all further recommendations for things we need to see gratefully accepted. (We've been around Avebury: silbury Hill, the Ridgeway a tiny bit, West Kennet barrow, Sanctuary; the sheila-na-gig in the little church to the north. Not seen Windmill HIll, Uffington Horse.)

Sorry folks - I'll have to miss it this year - we'll be driving down to.... Cornwall!
Looked at the diary, avoiding other commitments and Bank Holidays in May, the week commencing the 12th was the only option open to us.
Mikki and I will be there in spirit though...

Same place as always - a mile or so north of Penzance. Nearest site is the Castle an Dinas quarry. We should be there by Midday with any luck and a following wind!
