Steve, I find it highly disturbing that a comment on this thread has "mysteriously disappeared". I don't think anyone should have that privilege. Unless it is in the culling process, which this is not. I was drawn into this thread by a comment about the name Mc Sherry. If you've been around this site for a while, you know that Ley Line comments are not well received. Pretty much anything that has not been scientifically proven is followed by a prickly response. My comments were for Mc Sherry's benefit, in support of expressing thier view. I will not pretend to know the mind of Austin Mc Sherry. I had hoped to draw them out by helping them feel safe. I've been very impressed with your comments and gentle manner. I believe you are a healthy skeptic 8-)

There is a site on Malta called the Hypogeum, which I seem to remember has been dated at around 6000-8000BC. It's deep below ground and has several chambers one of which is known as the "oracle room". There is a niche in the wall and if you place your face into the niche and speak at a certain pitch, your voice echos and reverberates around the chamber in a most impressive way.

Sorry, just my way of explaining a couple of typos in my previous posting and trying to score a cheap hit against the "unjustifiably credulous" at the same time.

I imagine being asked if they were the 'Pope' might have scuppered their self-belief ;-)

Compare and contrast two aphorisms; " The mind is like a parachute... it only works when it is open" "Keep an open mind, but not so open that your brains fall out" ;)
