Hey Johan~
If you take a look at the Angels of Light section at Young God

http://www.younggodrecords.com/

They have sound samples from the various songs to give you a bit more of an idea...I'd probably go with the 1st release,New Mother, and as I mentioned there is a new one due out in a few weeks

Have a listen

just a song from his 1995? solo work Drainland; a very intense song called Where does your body begin? which could be the sister song of Where does your body end?, one of the tracks from the Great Annihilator.

I´d accept some advice on which record of MG- AoL get first.

I lost track with The Great Annihilator, but I have felt always tempted by Soundtracks for the Blind and Swans are Dead. Which is the best one?

See my advice avove to johan re:MG solo...some of his limited release live/home recordings are good to get while they last and all the $ goes into futher recordings

As far as Swans are Dead & Soundtracks,I'd say get them both if you can..SAD gives you a good idea of the power of Swans live and is more song based...Soundtracks is an odd mix of songs(live &studio),tapes, loops and drones and is quite a powerful bit of headfeckery

SAD is arguable the best live Swans document

Hope that helps some
