Telstar Ponies - In The Space Of A Few Seconds. Still sounds mighty fine.
The Smithereens - Especially For You. Not quite as good as I wanted it to be, then or now. A little too slavish toward their influences. Having said that, A late comer in the psychedelic retro pastiche thing. A couple of songs I still have an emotional attachment to, but I realise now it's a sentimental attachment.
The Slits - Cut.
Screamingj Trees - Dust. The unexpected successors to the Pretty Things. Decades later and an ocean away. I swear this must of been a bizarre accident, unexpectedly wonderful. Then and now.
Q65 - Afghanistan. A word/country with shifting connotations... nicely ragged late psyche, despite that.
The Open Mind - s/t.
Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - Carnage.
Mott The Hoople - Brain Capers.
Monster Magnet - Powertrip. I feel nothing but guilt for my liking this inexplicable mix of a passable pastiche of early seventies metal and 90's cock rock. I pray there is nothing, deity like, judging us.
Flower Travelin' Band - Satori. A definite Desert Island Disc... if my anonymous middle management skills should surprisingly attract Lorens attention.
The Dead South - Good Company. Achilles is just a really good song. Honest.
Can - The Singles.
Budgie - s/t, Squawk.
