Popped in to Resident this afternoon and it was in stock, so bought a copy off the shelf. On first listen.. yeah, it's a gas. Side one is Cope's solo demos for the unfinished third Teardrops album (I think one track has Gary Dwyer on drums), mostly droning analog synth instrumentals with casio drum machine, but very listenable. Side two is similar to "Cope's Notes", but arguably more coherent: Julian in 1989 reading excerpts from 'Head On' over more Teardrops demos, including both familiar songs and instrumental fragments. Makes one yearn for a whole audiobook of Head-On, read by JC with similar backing!
I hope everyone who wants this gets a copy: Resident still seemed to have a half-dozen or so behind the counter. A "fans only" release maybe, but well worth it if you are such a creature.

Damn. Thought I’d check in my Juno order history and same - preorder cancelled. But I didn’t receive an email. Glad I checked.

odd lot juno, just did check my account also says pre order cancelled but as you say it also says item in stock.
An email would be nice to say yes or no.... quick enough to put me on the spam list of new releases.
Maybe a trip to Leeds on Sunday!
