You know, I've been a Fall fan almost as much as a Hatfields one and I'd never noticed the connection until you mentioned it!

I'd love to think think of MES as a Canterbury head but something tells me (maybe unfairly from his perspective) that the likes of Hatfield and the North may have been a little, er, posh for him. I remember interviews at various times (pun intended) where he'd wax lyrical (well, as much as he ever would) about his musical muses (Krautrock, dub, rap artists come to mind) but I don't recall any reference to Messrs Sinclair, Wyatt or their ilk.

Does anyone else out there know otherwise? I'm as curious as Seth to learn!
