The Monkees - Missing Links (what a treat these LPs were for a Monkees fan in the 1980s, especially alongside the disappointing 'Pool It'. The live version of 'I'm Not Your Steppin' Stone' is the sound of grunge being introduced to Seattle 20 years early, and the 12-track vinyl version of 'Missing Links' was the first hint that there was a huge vault of unreleased treasures waiting to be plundered. Thoughtfully selected and perfectly sequenced it works as an excellent new studio album in its own right).
