I'm still not sure about Sunn O))) or Sigur Ros. Can anyone help?

I believe with Sunn O))), you just elongate the n sound for 20 minutes, varying the pitch every few minutes.

and then go "oh" in a small voice? or just mouth an "O" shape maybe.

Sounds like it has an added umlaut or something,. Which alwaysd had me wondering what the correct pronunciation for Motorhead was since it has an inherent umlaut which surely can't be silent?

Also Motley Crue.

Is it Mooterhead and Mootley Crue?

Sunn O))) is just sun according to Steve O)))Malley and I guess he should know. The other bit is part of the logo on Sunn amps.

Which gets really confusing when you say the name of any Tory and "Gary Barlow" in the same sentence.

Possibly get round that by dropping the C-Bomb when it comes to any Tory, although that makes it double jeopardy for Gary.

I'm pretty sure that the umlaut in Motorhead is mostly to do with Lemmy's Nazi memorabilia fixation. For Motley Crue, probably because they're idiots.
