I would like to comment directly on Paul Gormans Flickr account ID being GormanGhast, but he has banned me from commenting having previously ranted and raved at my comments then advisedly removing his replies to my comments and then my comments and his pictures completely. But Gorman is the kind of badly potty trained fellow who will not be told that he is a twat.

It doesn't work the wrong way up does it? It's supposed to hang. Mind you if Riviera's involved he'll claim it as a printers error and up the price for collectors...

I don't think Jake was involved as such. The whole shebang was curated by Paul Gorman. Jake I think, along with others who worked with and knew Barney contributed with their collections and bits and pieces.

No it simply does not work. The only piece of apparel which is mean't to function visible upside down on the wearer (not to the viewer) is those watches worn on the breast of a Nurses or matron tunic. Those are for hygiene regulations. Why anyone wants to wear knowingly a design upside down is beyond me. But then Gorman may have believe that I lack imagination. It seems the price has gone down!

Oooh, curiouser and curiouser... I can now see that they corrected the artwork on the exhibition wall mid-way through the show. I guess it was easy to correct it on the wall, but not so easy to correct booklets and t-shirts already printed. I would tend to believe that Jake's name is simply being used in attempt to make everything seem OK. That is my guess. For me though, the whole thing doesn't add up, and doesn't seem right.

Look: http://www.chelseaspace.org/blog/archives/505 They've accepted their mistake. How hilarious. BUT it does say that Rivera commissioned the shirts in the previous blog - what do you think? More BS?

This is the function of the art experts. But I am glad the mistake has been accepted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gnidrolog This being the correct anagram of Goldring

Their wording implies it was always shown correctly in the gallery, which it wasn't initially. It is only a partial acceptance of error, but at least those involved have listened to and addressed one of the issues being discussed here. Hopefully (for the sake of the artist's legacy, and the people parting with their cash) any future sales of this t-shirt will now always be identified as accidentally misprinted stock in any sales blurb. The eBay seller you linked to Deepinder has considerable stock, and so is likely to have close links with Chelsea Space Gallery (or definitely has close links, given who you have identified the seller as). If the eBay item description remains unchanged, then sadly yes, there will be more BS (as Gnidrilog chooses to put it). Hopefully the booklets will now all have erratum slips too. They are also on sale on eBay with equally considerable stock. The seller name is 'mrsgorman' which would also suggest a relationship with the gallery. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LTD-EDN-BARNEY-BUBBLES-BOOKLET-ELVIS-COSTELLO-HAWKWIND-/300512417322?pt=UK_Music_Music_Memorabilia_LE&hash=item45f7ef962a#ht_2191wt_1038

Are you trying to be picky with me about my spelling Deepinder?
