Also on Saturday 31st July it's the Croydon Summer Festival with The Damned and Martha and the Vandellas playing for free in the park!
May have to nip up from Brighton for both o' those...

Yeah, I might go to that one as I could get home from there by tram fairly easily afterwards. Won't be booking a ticket until next month for financial reasons though, so I'll have to wait and see how quickly it sells out.
Meanwhile Mr Calamity, I'd say that if your head's been elsewhere other than Croydon, you're a lucky man.

It is a strange kinda place. Very quiet during midweek evenings. On returning to my hotel from a walk, I found that there'd been a fire alarm and that all the guests were assembled on the car park. All men in their late 40s - 50s. I'd assumed they were all traveling business men. Except for one young woman. She was clearly a... erm, visitor of one of the gentlemen.
