I agree. Live In London is indispensible.

In that era live albums and radio sessions were somehow truer to what bands were really about given how hard it was for many acts to get their vibe down on tape. Not so true of bands like Can that took the Miles / Ted Macero route but for anyone else ....

I can remember seeing a tonne of support acts in the 73-77 era that impressed and then buying records that were a pale shadow of what they produced on stage.

IMHO anyone starting with ADII or Magma should start with live records and then delve into the studio stuff from there.
