I was reading about aurochs and the moving of the massive recumbent at Old Keig, Scotland's biggest.

Here's a horn from the Severn Estuary. Whoever had that was well capable of pulling stones. Maybe it was the very one!

I do have auroch bones found by the farmer, whose children I teach, near the Hare Cairn and Temple Stones RSC in Aberdeenshire. Look for Aberdeen, go north up the coast to Balmedie.

"A great account of a mammoth act of faith. Bravo to MPP and his intrepid team."

That's how I felt, yet a lot of archaeologists and others are very critical and said the account is full of holes (no pun intended). Seemed convincing to me.

I must admit I haven't seen any criticisms Nigel, but it's Stonehenge we are talking about so be expected. I know there is some antipathy towards MPP and he must know it too. It did say in the programme that the students doing all the slog in the wind and rain rebelled at one point. All I can say is I found myself respecting the man's resilience and perseverance over a decade.
